Eric Cassius, LPC, MHSP, CHt, son of Dr. Joseph Cassius, carries on the clinical practice with many of the same knowledge, skills, vigor and vitality as that of his father, coupled with his own distinctiveness, compassion and creativity. His clients are motivated to challenge negative patterns of behavior, traumatic issues of the past, relationship issues, and problems that occur in daily living.
Eric Cassius trained extensively with some of the nation's leading mental health professionals, having demonstrated excellence through receiving honors for his work in counseling. Eric has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Mental Health Service Provider, and a Clinical Hypnotherapist. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, The Tennessee Counseling Association, The national Board of Certified Counselors, The International Transactional Analysis Association, and is active with the Milton H. Erickson Foundation. During his under-graduate and graduate preparation (University of Tennessee-Knoxville, University of Memphis) and throughout his profession he strives for excellence through the quality care he gives to clients. His scope of practice extends to all individuals in the community including children and adolescents with oppositional behaviors and conduct problems, Couples and families dealing with communication problems, and those who experienced traumatic events in their lives. Eric uses numerous cognitive behavioral, gestalt and hypnotherapeutic techniques to help clients who are experiencing stress and anxiety due to pressures from work, sports and social issues, to help stop and curb addictive behaviors, and cope with their own personal history. This specialized approach is also helpful in relieving symptoms of chronic pain. Eric offers individual, group, couples, marriage and family, child and adolescent therapies and Hypnotherapy. |
